New Orleans Black Pride: NightCap Party

Location: The Hangar, 1511 South Rendon Street
Time: 10 p.m. Join us for the annual burgeoning festival that now spans multiple blocks in the Marigny at Rampart and Marigny Streets. This outdoor event is fun for all ages, with Drag Queen Story Time, dance and drag performances, fan decorating, a community resource fair, a culminating children’s parade, and other surprises.

Parking will be very limited and available on a first come, first serve basis.

Whether you choose to swing a hammer, wield a paintbrush, recruit volunteers, or donate lunch and snacks, your support is valuable. Home's Kitchen is a story of home, passion, and food for the soul.

Home's Kitchen Is supported by a grant from The New Orleans Theatre Association (NOTA) and is the inaugural production of Broadway DNA's New Play Production Pipeline, producing new work for global licensing.

Tea dances were a way that gay couples could openly be together and dance together in the 1940s and 1950s. ... Organized by New Orleans Black Pride, the free event includes music, art, food, and live performances.

Saturday also includes cultural offerings like the Walking With the Gay Ghosts of New Orleans tour, a blend of queer history and folklore, with walks departing from Café Lafitte in Exile at noon, 3:30 p.m., and again at 7 p.m.

For nightlife, GRRLSPOT: Pride XII kicks off at 7 p.m.
