Omarion is gay

“That was one of the toughest things I’ve ever had to do in my life, up to-date,” the 38-year-old began. It was no longer a focus,” she explained. “I just had the power to say no to anything. But, longtime Omarion fans wanted to know when the album was coming.

Sex Playlist is the name of the album and it comes during a unique time for Omarion, as he is a father for the first time.

Even though, people went out of their way to do certain things, I feel like I still got white on. Period,” explained the father of two. And I think that that’s the power of discipline—[it] really turns your life into just another level.”

“So, I think more than anything that I was just really just practicing discipline of self.

It’s like, ‘No, what is this about for you?'”

To answer his question, Omarion felt it was “so important” for him to do the tour “to remember myself.”

He explained, “We go through certain things and forget things about ourselves. I think love is beautiful, I think the world always needs more of it, but you must start with yourself.”

Not everyone is supportive or understanding when it comes to celibacy, though.

Earlier this year, Ice-T failed to hide his bemusement at Lenny Kravitz’s sex-free lifestyle after the rock star shared the revelation in a magazine interview.

“9yrs without sex?

And it really served its purpose,” he continued. “The rush to be in a relationship, the rush to be married, the rush to be in something because that’s what you’re taught to do — to have kids or procreate. You ain’t out here fucking these hoes?’ And I’m like, ‘Nah!’ It’s more to life than that.

“I just found myself in that position of wanting to understand my energy and give myself time to grow.

I got no blemishes because I stood true to who I am,” he said. “I had to ask myself some real important questions and one of those questions was, ‘Well, what was it really about for you, O?’ Not what is it about for everybody else, what is everybody thinking when you do this. “I always say I’m one of the few guys that I could turn my discipline on and off.

I’m like, ‘Nah… it’s more to life than that,” he continued.

Omarion said that becoming celibate changed him from being a “sex symbol,” a title he’s carried since the beginning of his career. 

“It allowed me to kind of step out of this world of being a sex symbol… In hindsight, it was preparing me for my contribution to music.

It’s not fun fun all of the time.” The singer revealed that his relationship went beyond sex and also contributed to his community, which not only benefitted him, but his children as well. I was really studying my Bible and ultimately it wasn’t for me, but it allowed me to kinda step out of this world and have the responsibility of being a sex symbol and a young adult.

“In hindsight, it was preparing me for my contribution to music, me being integral in my words and what I’m saying — not having to live a double life.”

Omarion also addressed the bemused reactions over his decision: “At that time, it was very weird for some people.

I know when people tryna come with that bulls**t.

“I love the idea of [his daughter] A’mei being able to have other women that she can go to.

Now I look back, I’m like, sheesh,” Omarion said. At the end of the day, I’m always gonna honor what’s best for me and my family.

Fizz and Jones dated briefly from 2019 until 2020. For starters, Omarion is NOT gay and he has the new album, Sex Playlist, in the works.
