The alliance

In April 2000 the Nifty Archive Alliance was formally incorporated as a not-for-profit organization. The user-friendly design and search and categorization features make it easy for visitors to explore and discover content.

Exploring the Archive:

Nifty Erotic Stories Archive, often simply referred to as Nifty, is an extensive collection of erotic literature that spans a myriad of genres and themes.

The platform’s search and categorization features enable readers to filter stories based on specific criteria, ensuring they find precisely what they’re looking for.

The archive had to end public access to the site in April 1993 because "Chris", his postmaster and also his boss received harassing email about the FTP-site.

No such luck. Another source of the stories is several USENET groups containing all sorts of erotic stories except heterosexual stories. The site is run by the Nifty Archive Alliance, an official not-for-profit organisation and recognized as a tax-exempt organisation by the US IRS.

History

The Nifty Archive started as a personal archive of both stories and pictures made available to the public via anonymous File Transfer Protocol at Carnegie Mellon University by a student who became later a staff-member.

First his best friends' life changes forever, then his own.

Around June 1994, Nifty also enabled GOPHER access and about a year later, FTP-access was limited to reduce the heavy CPU load on the system. All categorizing (except the transgender stories) is done by a single person, the previous mentioned David and authors who upload their stories can provide the tags for the available groups.

    The archive uses several techniques to prevent unwanted access by minors. The platform strives to be a reflection of the diverse tapestry of human experiences, ensuring that individuals from different backgrounds can find stories that resonate with their own desires and fantasies.

    Moreover, Nifty provides a range of themes within each genre, accommodating various tastes and preferences.

    Currently, the site doesn't only contain gay stories but also other erotic stories. The (mainly scanned) pictures were often copyrighted and due to the lack of any age-control, had to be removed from the site. The main groups used to categorize are: gay male, lesbian, bi-sexual, transgender / transsexual, bestiality and information.

    The platform categorizes its content into various sections, allowing users to navigate through stories that align with their specific interests. As Nifty continues to evolve with the times, it remains a virtual sanctuary where imagination and desire intertwine, inviting readers and writers to embark on journeys of passion and discovery.
